Keep your Alectra account current during a postal disruption

As an Alectra Utilities customer, you are responsible for paying your monthly bill even during a postal service disruption. To avoid any potential late fees, we encourage you to choose an electronic payment method like online banking, tele-banking and pre-authorized payments. Log into My Account to view your account online and to register for ebilling.

Telephone and personal computer banking offered by your financial institution:

When setting up your PowerStream account to pay by online banking, a payee search for "PowerStream" typically returns three possible matches. To set up your account to pay by online banking:


1. Select the payee* simply named "PowerStream":

Choosing the correct payee will prevent any delay in your payment being received by PowerStream and applied to your account. Allow three to five business days for bill payment processing.

Online banking services are offered by these major financial institutions:

At most chartered banks and financial institutions:

Allow five business days for processing at charterd banks and financial institutions.

Enclose both your cheque and invoice stub in the return envelope provided with your invoice, or mail to PO Box 3700, Concord, ON L4K 5N2.

Western Union:

PowerStream accepts account payments through Western Union from within the PowerSteam service territory of Aurora, Markham, Richmond Hill and Vaughan, elsewhere in Ontario, anywhere in Canada, and even worldwide.

Western Union payment outlets include Metro grocery stores, most Wal-Mart stores, Money Marts and many convenience stores. Western Union does charge a transaction fee that is payable by the customer.
